A Stranger's Heart

Stumbling a little
like a new born fawn
didn't know the ways
cruel world could spawn

shake the web away
mustering all strength
ran the sky's length
search for a new horizon

Oh it beats and hurts
boiling with fear
veins frail like petals
trust leads to tear

Still it hopes bright
innocent child, it smiles
breaths spewing the lie
eyes dark ignore the cry

It loves and lusts
fading emotion with time
raw blood racing prime
every beat such a crime

Lying in a cold corner
done and dusted for
craving one last note
music which lasted not long

Raised in shackles
fits of rage to console
the cage grows bigger
love, it disappear.

SHE

Beauty so serene she possessed
the scorching sun couldn't intersect
Still wind could carry the kisses she blow
Glistening sweat accentuated her glow

Years & ages of trenches/peaks
The ship got kept afloat
The look in her eyes never changed
Anchor with which the fate got sealed

Shoulder the pillow for sleeping beauty
Hair covering the plateau of features
Unrequited longing for those brown eyes
Stop staring you love struck, she sighs

Every time she parted with smile & whispers
Sweet nothings making the heart heavy
Words deeply meant don't come in spree
Only the eyes speak as they shall see

She is here now with a warm hug
Knees as weak with a face strong
Promises flow of it all being real
Every minute an hour of surreal

In dreams she belonged to me
My own world of possible fantasy
When I saw her lying next to me
Cynic in me exclaimed 'O lucky we.

PLATFORM NO. 6

People crawled up as inanimate objects
nut flakes covering the floor as leaves in autumn
Robotic announcements the only lullaby
Laughs and tears two sides of face coin

A shelter by lack of choice
Rats big as raccoons the children companions
Emotions change with the turn of clock
Wet footsteps mark the path of haste

Numbers decide the journey unknown
Dung crawlers swarm the tracks
Cacophony omniscient make the mirrors crack

Blind child the bait used to beg food
Travesty loaded in syringe to melt the stone heart
Riches turn up in their diamond rings
Blessings given in doses that shrink

Every minute an eternity staring the big clock
Patience the virtue required most in stock
Eternal this structure with aging eyes
Seen it all the laughs and cries.

LIVING

So many chapters in the life book
Ignored to find the missing pages
Forgetting the pen in own hands
The ink changing as the color of life

Life's good heart people make bleed
You just be the messenger of deed
Conditional the knot of life
The wiser knows how to untie

So that one you showered your rays on
Walked bare foot to clear their thorn
Oh miserable why do you accept return
White lined path towards expectation

Bucket loads of love one already has
Lost in the race to take more jazz
Lock of realization with no master key
The idea of love overpowers feeling it free

People change but so does time
Fading memories the silver line
You just walk in provided sheath
Singing the music in soul underneath

You will always smile wry
Clapping to life's humor so dry
Living in the moment the trick
Even the magicians can't deny
