PLATFORM NO. 6

People crawled up as inanimate objects
nut flakes covering the floor as leaves in autumn
Robotic announcements the only lullaby
Laughs and tears two sides of face coin

A shelter by lack of choice
Rats big as raccoons the children companions
Emotions change with the turn of clock
Wet footsteps mark the path of haste

Numbers decide the journey unknown
Dung crawlers swarm the tracks
Cacophony omniscient make the mirrors crack

Blind child the bait used to beg food
Travesty loaded in syringe to melt the stone heart
Riches turn up in their diamond rings
Blessings given in doses that shrink

Every minute an eternity staring the big clock
Patience the virtue required most in stock
Eternal this structure with aging eyes
Seen it all the laughs and cries.
